Sam’s Mission

Norwood is a blank canvas for creative expression. Working together to build opportunities for local artists to make their mark on our city in beautiful and lasting ways will bring color and visual interest to Norwood.

Norwood, though centrally located and filled with restaurants, bars, and shops, lacks an identity for many folks who live outside of our city. Building a brand for Norwood that puts us on the map as a local destination will increase traffic and revenue for existing businesses as well as sell us as a location for new entrepreneurs!

As a growing city, we have ample available storefronts for new businesses. By implementing a “Shop Local” initiative to build awareness of our stellar businesses and encourage community support, we can further solidify our brand as a destination and support our hard working Norwood citizens who invest in our city.

A strong city is one that has a diverse and welcoming community. Norwood has so much to offer, and we want to offer it to everyone! Sam didn’t feel seen or represented when she moved to Norwood, and she wants to ensure no-one ever feels that way again. She is the first openly LGBTQIA+ candidate for office in Norwood, and she hopes to not be the last.
